Francis Court I, II, & III

We own and operate 20 individual units that serve as either transitional or permanent supportive housing for homeless families with children in the home. The difference is the amount of time a family can stay with us, some 24 months before they transition out and some stay permanently. Most of our families have struggled with alcohol or drug addiction, domestic violence, child abuse & neglect, unmet medical and mental health needs, severed family relationships, lack of job skills, poor credit, evictions, and criminal histories, all of which made obtaining or maintaining housing nearly impossible. Our residents get a fresh start, and our staff works closely within the household to help alleviate some of the impact of past struggles with the goal of obtaining heightened wellbeing and obtaining permanent, safe housing. Our clients come from a variety of backgrounds, most of which include childhoods high in adverse experiences, which in turn led to maintaining households with ACES. Our wraparound team (youth advocate, mental health professionals & youth mentor) works to incorporate tools to help families build resilience and learn a new way of living. Some hurdles that clients often clear are; maintaining sobriety, family reunification, establishing a routine/schedule, credit repair, obtaining good rental history, returning to school, getting a job, learning household management (shopping, cooking and housekeeping), budgeting, learning parenting skills, purchasing/maintaining a vehicle, developing a spiritual foundation, learning to advocate for their families, systems navigation, maintaining good school attendance, establishing primary medical and dental care, securing childcare and participating in necessary mental health and developmental assessments. Clients also have access to "pantry" that we try to keep stocked with toiletries, diapers, wipes, clothing, children's items, household supplies and food.

Our Francis Court 1 transitional housing program is wildly successful due to the 24-monthonth timeline and extensive onsite supports. Below is aear snapshot....

House of Cornelius

The House of Cornelius is another transitional housing program but is exclusively for homeless Veterans. The main goal of this program is to help our residents become healthy, self-sufficient, and stable. This program consists of 4 units and currently houses 4 Veterans. Residents of this program pay rent and have access to free, onsite laundry, wi-fi, and phone. They participate in weekly case management, receive assistance filling out rental applications, general and faith-based support, transportation assistance, and a support system complete with special events and activities geared towards Veterans. Since opening this location, we have housed more than 80 Veterans.

Options Program

The Options Program is a Homeless Prevention and Stabilization Program providing case management and financial assistance to low-income households to help keep them housed. The target population is low-income households, at risk of eviction due to a verifiable financial hardship, with priority given to those who have been homeless before. Referrals are accepted from partnering agencies and self-referrals are accepted as well. Services are offered as needed with a flexible time frame of 1-6 months.
