Shasta Environmental Alliance

Good stewardship starts with knowing your own backyard. From oak woodlands and local parks to the Sacramento River, Shasta County is home to a remarkable range of landscapes, wildlife, and communities. Shasta Environmental Alliance is a volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit that brings people together to explore, understand, and take action for the environment around us.

Since 2017, SEA has helped people experience and understand the North State firsthand. We host naturalist-led field walks, expert talks, educational programs, community events, and hands-on stewardship activities that connect people with the land and water around them. Through partnerships with local environmental and natural resource organizations, we also share knowledge, resources, and opportunities across the region.

Education and action go hand in hand. Understanding the environment around us gives people a stronger foundation for participating in decisions that affect it. SEA creates those opportunities, ensuring our community has an informed, reliable voice present when long-term environmental decisions are made.
