The Boys & Girls Club of the Siskiyous offers a safe place for young people to learn, play and grow outside of school hours. When School's out, Clubs are in. As soon as that last school bell rings, our doors open to serve the youth of Siskiyou County into the early evening. During holiday breaks and the summer months, we are open during the day when many guardians are at work. These times are the most crucial, when children and teens would be home by themselves, or elsewhere, likely without qualified supervision. It is the aim of Boys & Girls Club of the Siskiyous to be available when youth need us most; to be a place where kids can feel safe, connect with others, and build the skills and confidence needed to reach GREAT FUTURES.

Boys & Girls Club of the Siskiyous opened its doors in June 2017 at the Sisson Middle School campus in Mt. Shasta, welcoming 150 children to succeed while having fun in the variety of activities and programs offered at the Club. With professionally trained staff, and world-class programs that include STEM, gardening, homework assistance, sports, games, and the arts--pottery, painting, and graphics, we are committed to achieving priority outcomes for youth: Academic Success, Good Character & Citizenship, and Healthy Lifestyles. With the community's enthusiastic support and the collaboration of many local organizations, we have continued to grow to more than 400 members in the 2nd through 8th grades. Together we are building GREAT FUTURES.

Healthy Food:
We believe that nourishing the body nourishes the soul. That is why we are committed to ensuring that all of our members our well-fed by providing nourishing snacks and well-balanced meals every day that we are open. Giving Tuesday funds could help us continue to nourish our members daily.

The cost to families is $20 per member for the school year with opportunities for scholarships. This reflects our dedication to serve those who need us most, ensuring that our programs are available to all children.

With the purchase of a bus or vans, the Club could provide members with transportation home, giving kids who rely solely on school transportation an opportunity to benefit from the Club, while also bringing kids from other communities in Siskiyou County to the Club. In addition, acquiring our own transportation would expand our programs beyond our classrooms, allowing members to engage in additional programs such as skiing, mountain biking, appreciation for the environment, museum trips, and outdoor adventures!

Future Expansion
Our future goals include providing direct services in additional communities throughout Siskiyou County. This means opening other locations in the county to provide services to the youth that need us most, supporting empowered and engaged youth that appreciate and respect themselves, each other, their families, their community and the environment. Your Giving Tuesday donation could contribute to this goal.
