Located in Fall River Mills, California, and founded as an all-volunteer not-for-profit organization, our local library provides the following services to the Intermountain Valley community: Free WIFI, Public Computers and printer, Children's programs and events, Reference Library, Copy Machine, Book Sales, Book and audio selections for check out, Conference/meeting room available to the community for meetings. The Fall River Library is a private non-profit corporation that first opened in 1988 with donated books and staffed by volunteers after Shasta County closed the local branch due to budget cuts. Our library was founded in September 1988 and has continued to operate and grow solely from donations of money and books from the community and friends. The Library does not receive any government funding. Grants and generous benefactors have provided our current location with some great amenities, but annual support is needed to continue to grow our services.
"The Fall River Valley has been serving the Intermountain Area for 30 years as an all-volunteer and independent library. The entire community appreciates the many services the library provides; inter-net service, resource materials and a wide array of fiction and non-fiction books, opportunities for children to develop a love of reading, and a meeting room for various local organizations. Congratulations on your 30-year anniversary and thank you to the many volunteers for their commitment to the needs of the community."
--Mary Rickert, District 3, Shasta County Supervisor (Oct 2018)
