$75,000 Goal

Together, we can make sure every child in Siskiyou County has a safe place to learn, eat, play, and belong. 💙

Your Giving Tuesday donation to the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Shasta will be doubled — up to $20,000!

The Boys & Girls Club of Greater Shasta is more than just an after school program. We are a lifeline for hundreds of families across Siskiyou County, providing critical childcare and transformative youth development programs.

With almost 300 members served this year alone and an average daily attendance over 100, your tax deductible donation this Giving Tuesday will have a direct and lasting impact on the youth and families who rely on us. We cannot continue this vital work without your help.

Your Gift Stays Local — and It’s Needed Now More Than Ever!

Every dollar stays right here in our community — directly supporting children and families across Siskiyou County.

We’re not financially backed by the national organization or guaranteed funding. The Boys & Girls Club of Greater Shasta operates entirely on local donations, grants, and community support — and every year, the need grows while funding becomes harder to secure.

Like many small nonprofits, we’re feeling the strain of rising costs — staffing, food, insurance, and transportation have all gone up — but we do not want to cut programs that families depend on. Our doors stay open because of people like you who believe that every child deserves a safe place to go after school, a healthy meal, and a caring mentor who believes in them.

When you give, you’re not just helping us reach a goal — you’re keeping a vital lifeline in place for working parents, growing kids, and an entire community that counts on us.

Your Gift, Doubled — Real Impact for Local Kids

This year, a generous local donor has pledged a $20,000 private match, meaning every dollar you give will be matched dollar-for-dollar to help us reach our fundraising goal!

Each year, we invest $1,650 directly into every child we serve in Siskiyou County.

Your support has a direct, immediate impact on the kids and families who depend on us every day:

  • $50 → $100: Provides a month of daily snacks and meals for a child.

  • $100 → $200: Covers a week of safe afterschool care for a working family.

  • $250 → $500: Funds supplies and staff time for a week of Power Hour tutoring.

  • $500 → $1,000: Supports a month of Outdoor Adventure or Arts & Enrichment programming.

  • $1,000 → $2,000: Keeps the doors open for families facing financial hardship

Why BGCGS?

We are 100% locally funded and do not receive financial support from Boys & Girls Clubs of America. That means every dollar raised directly supports youth right here at home.

We’re more than an afterschool program — we’re a lifeline for working families, a place where kids can safely explore who they are, and a community that believes every child deserves the chance to reach their full potential.

Our Mission in Action

What makes our Club different is how intentionally we do this work. We don’t just fill the hours after school — we fill them with purpose, mentorship, and meaningful experiences that shape character and confidence.

Your support helps us deliver programs that are as heart-driven as they are effective:

  • Power Hour – Academic support and tutoring that builds focus, perseverance, and pride in learning.

  • STEM and Arts – Creativity and problem-solving in action — where imagination meets discovery.

  • Outdoor Adventure – Nature-based exploration that teaches teamwork, confidence, and respect for our beautiful mountain home.

  • Meals and Mentoring – A warm meal and a caring adult can change a child’s entire day. We provide both — nourishment and belonging.

  • Social-Emotional Learning – We teach empathy, self-awareness, and resilience — helping kids develop the tools to navigate life with confidence and kindness.

These aren’t extras — they’re essential building blocks for the next generation of leaders, dreamers, and changemakers growing up right here in Siskiyou County.

Every moment at the Club — every art project, every shared meal, every mountain bike ride, every encouraging word — is designed to help youth see themselves as capable, valued, and full of potential.

That’s what makes us different. We don’t just help kids pass the time — we help them find their path.

Be the Difference

When you give to the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Shasta, you’re not giving to a national organization — you’re giving to your community’s kids. You’re helping ensure that every child in Siskiyou County has a place to learn, eat, play, and belong.

Before you give, we invite you to take a moment to watch our Giving Tuesday impact video, featuring our incredible members, staff, and board members. You’ll see firsthand how your support changes lives — and why every dollar matters so deeply to the youth and families we serve.
