The Cassel Volunteer Fire Company, Inc. (CVFC) is a 501(c)(3) public charity created in 1990 with the purpose of providing support to local fire suppression, emergency and protection services for the Cassel community and surrounding areas.
The Cassel community building was built as a multi-purpose structure to serve as a local Emergency Operations Center for the Intermountain area in times of disaster and emergency, as well as a community center hosting events to bring together the residents of the Intermountain and surrounding areas.
CVFC, Inc. is diligently working to restore and upgrade the facilities to current code standards as well as reactivating the vital, yet overlooked, Cassel Community Center to become a self-sustaining, functional and accessible space that serves as a central focus for community engagement and support for the Intermountain area.
We actively manage the Community Center through fundraising and social activities, drawing consistent participation from residents across the region—from Redding to Adin and from McCloud to Old Station. Fundraising is requested to assist with upgrades and repairs that ensure structural safety, code compliance, accessibility, and longevity of the buildings.
