You can help fund your quality healthcare and support local students this December 2!

This year, Mayers Healthcare Foundation is once again dedicating funds contributed through NSGT to our Scholarship Programs. MHF offers renewable scholarships to community members pursuing a health-care related education and Mayers Memorial Healthcare District (MMHD) employees to support them in furthering their education and expanding their career options while working. We offer three types of scholarships:

Certified Nursing Assistant Training Program Scholarship: MHF offers scholarships that covers the full cost of enrollment for the in-house CNA training and certification program at Mayers Memorial Healthcare District. This can be a life-changing program as those that successfully complete the program are guaranteed a job at MMHD. CNAs are the backbone of quality care at the hospital.

Community Scholarship: available to community members pursuing education in the health care field (generally graduating seniors) and is renewable for up to four years. Many of our recipients have returned to work in our local health care systems.

Employee Scholarship: MMHD employees are eligible to apply for renewable scholarships to contribute to the cost of on-going education. This scholarship program has allowed many employees to advance in their careers and provide high quality care and support for our community. 

Since 2020 alone, MHF has provided $65,000 in scholarships to support studies in health care. Our recipients include students pursuing career goals in a wide array of areas such as emergency medical technician, radiology technician, physical therapist, surgeon, registered nurse, medical billing specialist, social work and more. We have been funding health care education for over 10 years!
