MEET THE HORSES

MAJOR

When Anne-Marie took me home in July of 2021, I wasn't sure what to think. My whole life had changed. I didn't understand my body and I was in a lot pain.  My body wasn't in great condition and my mind was struggling to embrace change. I had only really known one existence and suddenly my world was turned upside down.

We've been on a long journey together filled with highs and lows, all of which have landed me here. I retired from "traditional" horse life in August 2024 and stepped into my role as Chief Horse Officer of Major's Place. At Major's Place, I get to embrace and fulfill my purpose as an equine therapist and friend.

CLYDEAfter years of working hard and being in service to a business for over a decade, I found a new home with Anne-Marie and Woody. My role was emotional support for the whole family who desperately needed my rock-hard stability and steadiness in their herd.

I'm a been there done that kind of guy. Take me into the wilderness, shoot a gun off my back - I'm not scared. My steadfast spirit has brought groundedness and healing to Major and Anne-Marie. I made our family whole. While Anne-Marie calls me her angel, I am quite mischievous! And, I'm not afraid of causing a little trouble.

I love to experience the world through my senses. I especially love to feel things with my muzzle. You may find that I want to greet you by playing with your palm with my lips. Don't leave me unattended too long, because my curiosity will get the best of me. Next thing you know, I'll be playing with your sweater or wearing your purse around my neck. Or, if you're down for a good time, leave all your stuff out and we can play together!

MOOSEAfter years of being a family horse, I'm ready for my next adventure! I'll be joining the Major's Place Equine-Assisted Therapy and Learning programs in Spring 2026!

I love to experience the world through my senses. I especially love to feel things with my muzzle. You may find that I want to greet you by playing with your palm with my lips. I am always down for a cuddle or a good spa day, or if you just need a friend to sit and listen to you, I'm here. I can also teach you that being small doesn't mean your not BIG! I rule the roost and show these big guys who's really boss (in a loving way, of course).

I'm so glad that you've found Major's Place and I can't wait to meet you soon!
