Shasta Mountain Music

A core element of our mission to support musical arts in Siskiyou County is the belief we can enhance the quality of life in our rural area by building community and fostering connections through production of live music events and workshops.  

An equally important element is the creation of local business opportunities, supportive infrastructure and facilities that attract touring musicians to our community. 

We Support  Artists

The streaming environment and rising travel costs have created unprecedented challenges for musicians to make a sustainable living. Our mission is to provide opportunities for musicians to showcase their talents, receive fair payment and support direct sales of their products to their audience. 

We are proud that our music series is well-known within the music community for supporting artists with generous hospitality. Whenever possible, we share with our musicians the extraordinary beauty and recreational opportunities found in  our mountain community. 

Our Future

We're already booking bands for our 2027 summer series. Shasta Mountain Music is also excited to announce our collaboration with the Mt Shasta Ski Park to explore the feasability of a first annual Shasta Mountain Music Festival in August of 2027. We are honored to work closely with legendary musician Laurie Lewis to begin planning for our first annual Songwriter's retreat in McCloud, CA. 

Executive Director Dave Reynolds is a professional member of the International Bluegrass Association (IBMA) and Regional Director of Region 7 for the California Bluegrass Association (CBA).
