Tehama Together was formed in 2009 with the goal of providing the unmet needs of the residents and communities of Tehama County. Our initial focus was to establish a centralized network of services where our citizens could find resources for a number of needs. We achieved this by teaming with United Way and establishing 211 Tehama. This centralized location provides physical, emotional, and financial resources for people in need.
Since that time our focus has continued to focus on meeting the basic needs of our residents. We formed the Community Food Alliance to ensure pantries worked together to ensure even distribution and minimal waste of food. We formed the Nonprofit Roundtable so nonprofits could make more effective use of their resources. We founded the Veterans Collaborative which ensure the needs of our veterans are met. We founded the Home Again K-9 program to help veterans, and others, train and care for their service dogs.
Tehama Together continues to identify the needs of the residents and communities of Tehama County. We are constantly developing programs or providing fiscal support for programs to serve the unmet needs of Tehama County.
