About Fees

Transparency in giving - We believe in transparency around the cost of fundraising. That's why we don't hide the processing fee for gifts, why we offer the option for donors to add a little extra to their gifts to help offset the fee, and why we share more about exactly why this fee is necessary. In 2022 over 75% of all donors chose to help offset processing fees so nonprofits received the full-intended donation. Donations made through the online platform are received by the Community Foundation, reconciled, and then issued to participating nonprofits as a grant. Grant checks are delivered no later than 12/31/23.

NSGT Fee Breakdown: 5.75% per transaction (3% tech platform provider, 2.2% card/bank processors, 0.55% NSGT organizers for payment reconciliation, grant processing, and admin handling)
