Invest in Tomorrow — Empower Girls Today

At Girls Inc. Northern Sacramento Valley, we believe every girl in Shasta and Tehama County deserves the chance to thrive. Our in-school programs ignite curiosity in elementary girls — showing them that they are smart, capable, and worthy from day one. Our youth leadership programs empower high school girls to lead with confidence, plan their futures, and lift others along the way.

Why Your Support Changes Lives

  • Years of rigorous evaluation show that girls in Girls Inc. outperform peers on 19–23 of 27 key metrics — from academic engagement to leadership skills. https://afterschoolalliance.org

  • After two years, our girls show higher math achievement, stronger school attendance, fewer suspensions, and greater readiness for college than non-participants. https://www.air.org

  • In our annual Strong, Smart & Bold survey, 92% of girls say there is an adult at Girls Inc. they can depend on.                                                                           https://girlsinc.org
  • Mentorship matters: youth with mentors are 55% more likely to enroll in college, and mentored youth tend to earn more throughout adulthood.  https://www.mentoring.org
  • Mentors and programs help girls sustain confidence amid teenage challenges — 86% of girls say having a mentor boosts their confidence.                https://www.forbes.com

  • For women in the U.S., 70% credit their career success to having a network or mentor. https://asm.org

Your Gift Builds Strong(er) Girls

When you donate to Girls Inc. NSV during North State Giving Tuesday, you fund:

  • Classroom-based curriculum in reading, STEM, resilience, and self-advocacy

  • Mentorship, leadership training, college & career path planning

  • Field trips, conferences, and exposure to new opportunities

  • Safe, pro-girl spaces where girls can grow, reflect, and lead

We’ve set a goal and are asking for your support. $8,000 will provide us the funding for one school site program, add new leadership opportunities for high school girls, and strengthen our support network for girls across Shasta and Tehama Counties.

Your gift says, “I believe in her — not just today, but for the future.” Join us.
