250 for the Next Generation 🌙✨

In 2026, our nation marks its 250th birthday. This is a moment to remember where we have been, honor the people who shaped us, and look ahead to the future we want to create for the next generation.

At Whiskeytown Environmental School, that future has always begun outdoors. For fifty-five years, children have come to WES Camp to sleep under tall trees, study pond life, hike trails, listen for birds, make friends, and discover the joy of learning in one of America’s most treasured landscapes: a National Park Service site.

As we celebrate America’s 250th, we invite you to make a gift of $250 in honor or memory of someone who opened the world for you. Perhaps it was a parent or grandparent who took you camping, a favorite teacher who made science come alive for you, a coach, a veteran, a neighbor, or a friend whose example still guides you. Perhaps it was someone who taught you to be curious, brave, generous, or kind.

Your gift to the nonprofit philanthropic partner WES Community, supports the community's dedication to rebuild and restore Whiskeytown Environmental School so future generations of children can experience the wonder of outdoor education within the Whiskeytown National Recreation Area.
