Hello and welcome to the Lewiston Community Association North State Giving Tuesday page! Thank you in advance for considering our nonprofit on this "global day of generosity" when making your year-end giving decisions.

OUR MISSION

To revitalize our local rural community of Lewiston, Trinity County, California. The Lewiston Community Association serves as a catalyst for positive change within our local community while simultaneously promoting tourism to showcase the richness and charm of our area. We are dedicated to fostering community well-being, preserving local heritage, and creating an inviting destination for visitors.

OUR STORY

Lewiston Community Association (LCA) is a fairly new nonprofit 501(c)(3) established on February 8, 2024, in Lewiston, Trinity County, California by active community members with a strong desire to see our community and local businesses flourish and thrive.  

We are 100% volunteer based (no salaries are paid) with a growing team dedicated to achieving our goals in alignment with our mission by:

• Creating organized community engagement activities for the well-being of children and families; 

• Revitalizing the Lewiston Community Park and other areas of Lewiston through cross-sector collaboration efforts;

• Bridging financial and resource gaps created by local government budget shortfalls via our fundraising campaigns, grant programs, and volunteerism.  

• Fostering a sense of community pride and shared responsibility for one's neighborhood, park, and overall beautification of Lewiston for locals and tourists alike;

• Engaging youth and adults in organized community efforts; 

• Promoting tourism, boosting local economy and supporting local businesses.

JOIN US!

Be a part of our mission and help us reach our Giving Tuesday campaign goals!  Donations will fund family-fun Movie Nights and park revitalization projects, ensuring a safe, healthy location for community engagement gatherings in our rural town.  And while many people choose to donate money, Giving Tuesday is also about volunteering time, donating goods, and sharing skills.  LCA is looking to grow our membership and volunteer base, to fill a vacancy on our Board of Directors, and is always willing to accept in-kind donations that support our community based programs.  For more information on ways you can contribute, please email LCA at lewistoncommunityassociation@gmail.com
