Siskiyou Community Food Bank is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. We were granted our nonprofit status from IRS in June 2013 and, in 2014 we received our California Charitable Trust status. All donations are tax-deductible.

Our mission is to provide healthy food to low-income households including seniors, veterans, disabled, unemployed, underemployed, homeless, families, individuals, and victims of disasters. We are not a government entity, nor are we sponsored by any government entity. We rely on donations and grants we write.

In the past few years, we have faced many troublesome times, high unemployment rates, fewer jobs offering a living wage, the drought for over five years, the COVID-19 pandemic, and numerous wildfires throughout Siskiyou County.  These have all had a huge negative impact on our families, friends, and neighbors. Those needing our help have increased dramatically.

We are in a vicious cycle: not enough jobs, not enough housing, and increased costs for food, shelter, clothing, gasoline, and even toilet paper. How can a family or an individual make ends meet? The answer is, that they can't. They need our help!

To ensure our ability to continue to help those in need, we need your help. Please donate to us so we can feed hungry families and individuals.

Thank you for your human kindness.
